colored sky

As the day is longer, I enjoy the beautiful color of the sky more.
I guess it’s because we are usually at home having dinner or relaxing and notice the color changing, while in winter it’s still busy time of the day or in office.

christmas decoration in city

It’s almost a month before Christmas.  Decorations in city made me realised.
I’m not ready for it or I’m not sure if I’ll ever be…

After 12 years living down under, I still miss Japanese Nenmatsu (the end of year) atmosphere.

Monk Bodhi Dharma

Hidden gems are easily revealed these days.  We twit, post, share almost everything.

When I first came to this cafe I thought it would be our secret cafe.  But this place became so popular and it’s everywhere on the net. So I have no reason to keep it anymore. sigh.

No wonder it’s not kept secret with their serious coffee and tea.
Their chai latte is good too with full of flavor and it’s very spicy.

Takoyaki – Octopus balls

Takoyaki.

This is my favorite Japanese snack.  I was so surprised to find Takoyaki maker at Target, in Melbourne.  Even in Japan, unless you are not from Kansai(or Osaka), where Takoyaki is from, we don’t usually have it at home.  We take away from shops.

It was sold as “mini delight maker”. Whatever that is, it’s takoyaki maker, because there was tako, octopus, on the plate!!!

I usually eat this with friends.  Some people are very good at making it round nicely and some are terrible! But all seem to have fun!

They are moreishing, but because of flour, I can’t eat much.  So I feel like eating them all the time, but luckily many of my friends love Takoyaki, and I always have some company ;)

Yum!!

tiny felt balls

 I love tiny felt balls.

Easier to make larger ones but tiny ones are already cute themselves.  They only weigh half gram! i enjoy thinking what these ones gonna turn into ;)
